TWO-PARAMETER WEIBULL FUNCTION PARAMETER ESTIMATION BY TIME TO FAILURE POWER FUNCTION MEAN VALUE

This document presents a metod for estimating the parameters of the 2-parameter Weibull reliability function on the assumption that we can express Weibull function as the exponential function by the change of the true power random variable whith the linear variable getting so exponential case. The itterative method is used for the estimation of the shape parameter of the Weibull function and then its scale parameter. In the method is used an aproximation for the values calculation of the gamma function. The methodology is illustrated by a practical example. On addition Monte Karlo simulation is used for the analysis of the method efficience.
