Analitički modeli probijanja metalnih ploča kinetičkim penetratorom

The process of penetrating thin metal plates with a flat-head cylindrical penetrator has been described as well as the most important analytical models of penetration, paying particular attention to predefined requirements, basic process mechanisms and key analytical relations necessary for the realization of appropriate computer programs. The values obtained by calculations have been compared with the results of the authors′ experiment. The comparative analysis shows a significant accordance of the penetration process basic parameters but it also points out certain constraints of analytical models. The model of deformation waves with a deformable penetrator is concluded to present the best analytical approximation of the penetration process. Its modification resulted in an improved penetration model.
