LAY-OUT OF THE CALCULATION OF A SIX-COMPONENT AERODYNAMIC BALANCE FOR TESTING LONG MODELS IN THE WIND TUNNEL

The calculation of an inner six-component monobloc balance has been presented. The corresponding computer program has been developed for the sake of iterative calculation procedure. Based on the balance geometry and exterior loading, the signals from the balance test bridges are calculated as well as stresses in the characteristic cross-section of the balance. During the program execution it is possible to change balance geometrical parameters as well as external loading. The balance design philosphy was to acquire perma-nent dynamic strength of maximum stresses in the most stressed cross-se-ctions during transient loading with the satisfactory signal level during unsteady measuring.
