PROCEDURE FOR THE DETERMINATION OF INER-TIAL AND GEOMETRICAL PARAMETERS OF AN AIRCRAFT ANGLE OF ATTACK PROBE FOR REQUIRED DAMPING

Mirko Kozić

A procedure for the determination of damping of a probe intended for measuring the angle of attack of low-speed aircraft has been presented as well as the analysis of effects of inertial and geometrical parameters on damping, which makes designing a probe with requested damping significantly easier. The number of wind tunnel tests is therefore reduced to the minimum since the only necessary procedure is to verify a chosen probe.
