Efffects of different methods of optimal guidance on the trajectories of strap--down selfguided air-to surface and surface-to-air missiles have been analyzed. The advantage of guidance methods based on the compensation of equivalent target manoeuvre has been presented. In some cases such as shooting at fast-manoeuvring leaving targets, when the components of equivalent target manoeuvre are superponed, or shooting at stationary ground targets by AS missiles, the classical method of proportional navigation cannot be applied at all...
