Possible laws of optimal guidance of home-guided missiles with a strapped--down head for target position determination have been analyzed. The equation of missile relative motion with respect to the target has been derived, pointing out that the effects of the target normal acceleration, the missile tangential acceleration and the gravitational acceleration can be included in an equivalent target manoeuvre. The system similarity parameters have been determined. The simulation results served as a basis for the analysis of the effects of the lead angle error and the equivalent target manoeuvre for different variants of guidance laws. Diagrams of misses as a function of characteristic parametres suitable for design and synthesis of strapped-down systems of home-guided missiles have been obtained as well..
