Dehazing algorithms influence on video stabilization performance

Abstract: Video dehazing algorithms are of a great importance in outdoor surveillance systems, especially in long-range imaging systems, where atmospheric conditions have large influence on subjective quality of images. Video stabilization algorithms are also very significant for long-range imaging systems, where small sensor vibrations can cause great disturbances in image. That is why it is vital to explore the possibility of combining these two algorithms to create high quality output image. This paper explores the influence of video dehazingalgorithms on video stabilization performance in haze conditions, and proposes the algorithms pipeline for multi-sensor imaging systems, designed for long-range imaging.
