GRADED APPROACH ANALYSIS OF THE BIOTA DOSE EVALUATION USING THE RESRAD-BIOTA COMPUTER CODE

Abstract: The paper presents graded approach analysis of the biota dose evaluation as well as the possibilities of using the resrad-biota computer code in evaluating biota exposure to ionizing radiation on the location of West Tamnava Basin. Concentrations of measured radionuclides on the location were analyzed and compared with the dosage limits given in the recommendations of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). The computer code RESRAD-BIOTA was suitable tool, and improved the estimation of environmental risks on given locations.
