INFLUENCE OF MATERIAL ON PERFORMANCE OF MONOLITHIC SNIPER BULLETS

Abstract: The paper contains the analysis of the change of the brass type in the production of sniper bullets. The impact of the material to the technology of the processing of sniper bullet is taken into consideration as well as the impact on the fulfillment of their tactical-technical requests through the results of internal, external and terminal ballistics. Furthermore, the impact of the new material to the consumption of rifle barrel using the monolithic sniper bullets is also considered. The aim of the change of brass is reflected in the possibilities of the increase of production sources, increase of tactical-technical requests of the ammunition and the decrease of financial funds required for the production of this type of ammunition.
