Abstract: This paper presents the analysis of the take-off and landing distance of a single tractor propelled aircraft LASTA. The analysis was done as a part of ongoing certification process for LASTA aircraft according to civil regulations CS-23. The paper presents the approximated method for calculating take-off and landing distance of the propeller driven aircraft and aspects of safety on public transport flights. The calculated results are compared with the flight test results obtained in the Technical Test Center. Good agreement between these two results is obtained.
