UNDERSTANDING PLASMA SPRAYING PROCESS AND APPLICATION IN dEfENSE INDUSTRY

Abstract: These paper presents importance to understand plasma spraying process. The historical development of process as well as the application in defense and metal industry is described. Complexity of the process is showed by three separated but interrelated processes, such as plasma generation, plasma-particle interactions, and coating formation. For each of the three mentioned phases are analyzed the problems that may occur, earlier research in this area, important parameters. In conclusion are listed further directions of the development process and research.
