Abstract: This paper incorporates theoretical and applied research of the methodology of optimising the production of medium and high calibre ammunition.

The results of this research have been used for better understanding of a complex process of the production optimising, which is applied in the process of technological realisation of marksmanship, anti-aircraft, tank and artillery ammunition.

This paper shows the examples of technological process of production of different projectiles 105mm. It also illustrates certain technological procedures needed for the realisation of this ammunition, as well as the possibility for its optimising.

This paper includes the results of a comparative theoretical and applied research in the area of the ammunition production optimising, with a particular emphasis on a concrete example.

Presented results are the result of the need to study the process of production optimising, and they have been gathered by studying technological production procedures and analysing the possibilities for the optimising of the ammunition that has been taken into consideration.
