INVESTIGATION OF PLASTIC PARTIALLY SPHERICAL ELEMENT OF ROCKET LAUNCHER IN STATIC CONDITIONS

Abstract: Results of investigation of  plastic partially spherical elements (covers) of rocket launcher in static condition are presented. Two groups of covers were investigated: no treated covers, obtained solely by injection molding of thermoplastic material in appropriate mold, and treated specimen, obtained by injection molding and subsequent machining. Both groups of cover specimen were exposed to the influence of compression force in static conditions. In this way, the results of breakthrough force of covers specimen were obtained. Dependence of breakthrough force versus shapes, obtained by machining оf treated covers specimen, was established.
