Abstract:  This article analyzes anti-armor combat between the second and the third generation main battle tanks (MBT), and also the influence of battle type and fire control system on the struggle outcome. Analyses results can be used to take into consideration requirements for equipment and modernization of modern main battle tanks as well as demands for constant modernization of the fire control system
