Abstract: In order to test  psychophysical ability of Serbian candidates for peace keeping missions testing of psychoactive substances (alcohol and drugs) abuse is performed.  For determination of alcohol presence in the blood a method of gas chromatography with flame ionization detection (GC-FID) is used. Detection of abusing drugs from five groups (opiates, cannabinoids, metamphetamines, cocaine and benzodiazepines) is performed by using immunochormatographic tests. Every positive result has to be confirmed by additional analyzing samples with some of chromatographic techniques. For definitive confirmation of opiates and cannabinoids presence in the urine we use liquid chromatography with mass spectrometry
