Design of Photovoltaic Power Supply System

Abstract: In this paper, the design of photovoltaic power supply system, using a photovoltaic modules (PV) and batteries as bank, is presented; the pulse-width-modulation (PWM) strategy with a feedback dc current in order to protect the power supply system which is based on a single-phase bridge inverter, is used for its control. However for the protection of the batteries from overcharge and discharge: a charge regulator is made by means of a hysteresis controller and an electromagnetic mercury relay. The simulation and experimental results of this power supply system are investigated and presented. The designed system is used in domestic applications and generating a nominal ower of 3 kVA under 220 Volts
