Abstract: The paper presents low-cost equipment for vehicle motion data collection by measurement of control and dynamics parameters. The system is designed to be easy to install, easy to use, and easy to maintain exploiting low-cost commercial components. Post flight data analysis module has various filtering and parameter identification techniques. It is integrated in the simulation environment offering efficient flight model development and validation. The system is developed in the scope of flight simulation training device mathematical model development and effectively used in the device qualification.

The system may be used for quick and efficient dynamic data collection on vehicles when use of special high precision measurement system is not necessary or not justified. It is also suitable for teaching purposes in the aeronautic schools and universities.
