Abstract: The serious games are a field of IT which solve various non entertainment task using videogame software technology in defense, education and training, scientific exploration, health care, emergency management, city planning, engineering, religion, and politics.

This class of video games, like training simulators, require careful and systematic testing and validation in order to fit the purpose.

The objective of this paper is to present the procedure of software quality assessment of the serious games. The concept is verified on the typical flight simulator based on the distributed simulation concept and designed on the top of low cost videogame technology. Some results concerning the qualification of the simulator in the JAT pilot academy are also presented.
