Pollution concentration and distribution of the hydrocarbons in the subsurface layers of soil in the Novi Sad refinery

Pollution concentration and distribution of the hydrocarbons in the subsurface layers of soil in the Novi Sad refinery were investigated in this paper. Samples of soil were taken from four typical locations in the area of the refinery two years afters accidental spills caused by the NATO attacks on the FRY. The paper also shows the hydrocarbon distribution at some other locations, where periodic spills of little significance typically occur. Furthermore, this paper presents a table of estimated spills of naphtha and its derivatives.
