IGNITION OF THE ARPROJECTILE ROCKET MOTOR IN THE WEAPON BARREL

This study shows the advantage of the AR-projectile rocket motor ignition in the weapon barrel, over the ignition with an inertial ignition mechanism which is realized out of the weapon barrel (on the first part of trajectory). The concept of a non-guided AR-projectile with rocket motor which provides low force reaction intensity thus equilibrating aerodynamic drag during flight is considered. This study presents rocket motor testing effects and provides the theoretical analysis of the effects of rocket motor ignition in the weapon barrel on the dynamics of tlight.
