RELIABILITY TESTING – AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE LIFE CYCLE DETERMINATION

The paper gives theoretical relations connected with component reliability testing and, particularly, the determination of average life cycle, useful life cycle and the degree of life cycle wear of a component (or a device). The procedure application in practice is illustrated with an example of turbojet motor blade testing. Test data were taken for new blades as well as for blades after 400, 800 and 1200 operating hours. The lognormal distribution was applied during the result analysis. The life cycle of new blades was determined as well as the degree of life cycle wear after the particular operating time.
