ANALYSIS OF THE PHYSICAL PROCESS OF LASER RADIATION SCATTERING FROM THE SURFACE OF ENVIRONMENTAL TARGETS

The paper presents the fundamentals of the analysis concerning a very complex physical process of laser radiation scattering from rough surfaces of defined treatment as well as from surfaces of environmental targets. Advantages, disadvantages and limitations of the existing reflection models frequently used for the prediction of scattered radiation from rough surfaces have been given and briefly explained. A modification of a simple model enabled the verification of obtained results by a simple non contact optical measuring equipment giving results in the incident plane.
