NONLINEAR PHENOMENA IN FRACTURE MECHANICS OF MECHANICAL STRUCTURES

This paper tries to combine and comprehend wellknow accomplishements in nonlinear dynamic systems with the latest achievements through the elaborated theory of nonlinear mechanics, random oscillations and fracture mechanics in order to define prior signs of system catastrophy, i.e. practical criteria for fracture risks and engineering system operating unstability, and to include them into a process of designing mechanical subsystems and systems, thus creating prerequisites for the design of a reliable system, highly resistant to fracture and stability loss.
