CONTRIBUTION TO A MORE ACCURATE DETERMINATION OF EQUIVALENT NODAL FORCES IN THE CLASSICAL FINITE ELEMENT METHOD

Another procedure for the determination of equivalent forces at the nodes of a uniformly loaded structure is described. The proposed approach differs from the present one in the fact that a uniform load over the true surface (instead of its approximation ) is substituted by the equivalent forces at the points coinciding with the nodes generated in the finite element approximation of a structure. The efficiency of this approach is demonstrated for some typical shell structures the form of which can be described analytically.
