The interior ballistics problem of firing process in small arms is considered. A mathematical model of a so-called two-phase flow described by the gasdynamic partial differential equation system is used. The initial parameters variations and their influence on the calculation results are factor-analysed and parameters influencing the changing of powder gases maximum pressure and muzzle velocity are chosen. The calculation results are compared with the experimental ones. A possible method of correcting model results in experimental modelling by the gradual result approximation using the Box-Wilson’s method is proposed.
