MODEL REFERENCE ADAPTIVE CONTROL OF HYDRAULIC CYLINDER

Electrohydraulic servosystems are widely spread in technical practice. Very rigorous specifications on dynamic behaviour of electrohydraulic servosystems sometimes cannot be achieved by using conventional control algorithms. In this paper we investigate the control of a hydraulic cylinder with the electrohydraulic servovalve using the adaptive control technique. A model reference approach to adaptive control is considered. The sarting point is an ordinary feedback control loop with the process and a regulator with adjustable parameters. The key problem is to find a convenient way of changing the regulator parameters in response to the process changes. The numerically and experimentally probed MRAS-SPR control algorithm applied to electrohydraulic servosystem is presented.
