EXPERIMENTAL TESTING OF FLOW THROUGH STRAIGHT PROFILE GRIDS OF HIGH-SPEED AXIAL PUMPS

The results of experimental testing of the flow rate vector field through straight profile grids of the higfh-speed axial pump have been presented. The testing was carried out in a water tunnel for the steady flow rate of  =5,32 m/s. The velocity distribution around the central profile has been measured by the laser Doppler anemometry. Flow visualization has been performed using aniline dyes and air bubbles. The results in the form of the rate vector field map and the diagram show the change of the apsolute flow rate value on the z-axis for different cross-sections along the profile chord. The flow visualization results are illustratred by photographs.
