EFFECTS OF PRESSING ON THE GRANULOMETRIC CONTENT OF PRESSED FLEGMATIZED OCTOGEN

Anđelković-Lukić Mirjana

A method for determining distribution of particles on the fracture surface of an explosive sample, pressed to differents densities. The tested explosive was octogen, flegmatized with 3% of synthetic wax. Two different initial granulometric compositions (coarse and fine) were applied. The particles were analyzed by optical microscopy. The results showed that the obtained particle distribution does not depend on initial granulation and flegmatized octogen porosity.
