The adsorption of the tetrammincopper (II) complex on activated carbon (AC) from the water solution was investigated. The spectrophotogram of the solution with the constant Cu2+ ions content and the increasing NH4OH content showed that a stable complex is obtained when the molarity ratio of the given ions is . The maximum absorbance wavelength is 600-605 nm, and the absorbance is a linear function of the complex concentration. The adsorption of [Cu(NH3)4]2+ ions on activated carbon has been confirmed by the reduction of the complex solution absorbance after its contact with AC, and the quantity of.
