COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF OPTIMIZED DOUBLETS BY THE LEAST ATTENUATED SQUARES METHOD, THE GENETIC ALGORITHM AND EVOLUTION STRATEGIES

Doublets are very simple optical systems consisting of only two lenses. Their characteristics are given as well as the optimization for a chosen separated doublet using the classical method of the least altenuated squares and the modern methods of the adaptive stationary, genetic algorithm and the evolution strategies of binomial EVOL and polynomial GRUP, REKO and KORR. The primary monochromatic aberrations are analyzed for each optimized doublet separately and their values are compared to the aberrations of an initial optical system.
