SIMULATION OF ACOUSTIC TORPEDO HOMING GUIDANCE ONTO A SHIP’S PATH

The paper describes a method of acoustic torpedo homing guidance onto a ship’s path using a mathematical model and the software off-line simulation in the horizontal plane. The HIL (hardware-in-the-loop) simulation has been developed for this type of guidance. Software simulation has been applied for torpedo dynamics and kinematics while the electronic part of the homing guidance device, rate gyroscopes and other system components can be included optionally-as software modules or hardware realizations.
