COORDINATE METROLOGY IN MANUFACTURING OF THE COMPLEX SPATIAL FORMS WITH APPLICATIONS TO THE AERODYNAMIC SURFACES

Abstract: This comprehensive study provides complete preview of the quality management of machine parts and assemblies production defined by complex spatial forms. The key link in the whole process is a coordinate metrology. The complex spatial forms over which the developed methods of production quality are applied are aerodynamic surfaces of the aircraft models for wind tunnel testing. The coordinate metrology of the aerodynamic surface is the central theme of this paper, as the accuracy of the aerodynamic surfaces of the aircraft model for wind tunnel testing is primarily requested quality parameter.

Having in mind that the quality management is the central theme, some of  the basic principles of TQM, GERAM, PLM and related ISO standards are presented. Problems of the production engineering perceived in a such way indicate the manufacturing of the future - manufuture.
