MINI UNMANED AERIAL VEHICLES FOR SURVEILLANCE AND RECONNAISSANCE MISSIONS
Dragoljub Vujić Milan Bajović
Abstract: The designing problems of mini UAVs intended for close surveillance and reconnaissance missions in all weather conditions are presented and analyzed in this publication. The material needed for the mini UAVs project realization, as complex systems, has been systematized on the basis of the extensive experience of authors as well as their research. It also shows their insight into knowledge regarding this field both in our country and abroad. The logical sequence of the processing all of theoretical and practical issues enables the understanding of the process of aircraft development, covering the entire process from the initial concept and design all the way to aircraft production and flight testing. The content and method of processing materials in this publication represent a significant contribution to the development and designing of mini UAVs. It also meets the strict requirements in the field of scientific approach and application of theoretical methods for solving the practical problems. The presented concepts and methods are applicable for the realization of all classes of unmanned aerial vehicles. A number of practical calculations enables better understanding and easier application of the presented material.
Keywords: unmanned aerial vehicles, mini unmanned aerial vehicle, aircraft construction, aircraft characteristics, comparative overview, surveillance, reconnaissance.
