STRENGTH ANALYSIS OF AIRCRAFT STRUCTURES WITH RESPECTS TO FATIGUE Stevan Maksimović, Zijah Burzić, Dragutin Georgijević
Abstract: This investigation is focused on developing computation procedures for strength analysis of aircraft structures with respects to fatigue. For that purpose, computation procedures for life estimation of constructions under cyclic loads of constant amplitude and load spectrum will be defined here. A particular aspect of this investigation is based on the application of Strain Energy Density (SED) in residual life estimation of structural elements with initial cracks. Verification of computation procedures for life estimations will be supported by corresponding experimental tests for determining both low cyclic fatigue properties of materials and corresponding parameters of fracture mechanics including fatigue tests of typical aircraft structural elements.
