Abstract

Scientific-technical information with the title "APPLICATION AND IMPORTANCE OF THE HYDROACOUSTCS IN MILITARY NAVAL TECHNICAL DEVICES AND SYSTEMS" has a goal to furnish relevant authorities with theoretical grounds, methods of investigation, problems and concepts of hydroacoustics as a scientific discipline; give concise historical and current review of the research and development in this field worldwide; present recapitulation of the work and results achieved so far in our country; give basic theoretical concepts of operation of the most common hydroacoustic devices and systems which are used for location detection, tracking of the trajectory, estimation parameters of the vessels motion and their identification. A Scientific Technical Information has a goal to contribute to transcending the neglecting of this discipline in Serbia from the early beginnings to the last decade of the twentieth century, when hydroacoustics work started in a planned and organized manner at the Military Technical Institute. In addition, the goal of this paper is to give some information which will contribute to making quality planning decisions, which are necessary to draw up the plans for future research and development in this field in our country.
