INFLUENCE OF THE SHAPE OF THE PROPELLANT IGNITION ON THE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE ROCKET ENGINE SOLID ROCKET PROPELLANT

Apstrakt

 

The paper analyses determining of the change of the combustion surface with different types of propellant ignition. The first part of the paper gives a short review of the model of the inner ballistic calculations of the rocket engine. Characteristic coefficients in the rocket engine by which similar solutions for rocket engines can be compared are given. The importance of determining the dependence of the combustion surface from the combusted arch has been discussed here. Propellant ignition with face ignition, cylindrical ignition, bundles of tubes, telescopic ignition, ignition with the star-shaped cross-section, wagon wheel, dendrite and ignition with openings are given. Ways of determining of the dependence of combustion surface from the combusted arch are given based on the reference results and data obtained by the author. Short account of different types of propellant ignition production is given.
