SUSPENSION SYSTEMS IN COMBAT TRACKED VEHICLES

Abstract
This paper gives a description and characteristics of suspension systems for the most important main battle tanks produced after World War 2, including some prototype designs. The possible development of main tanks suspension in the 21st century is anticipated by analyzing the most modern designs. Finally, the specific features of infantry armored vehicle suspension design are emphasized.
