Abstract:

Modern blasting agents are new commercial explosives. They are specific fast-developing products. Detonations characteristics of modern blasting agents can be fitted depending on requests, with extended use regulations. The of initiation sensitivity has led to the development of on-line production and safety. This work gives the classification and the brief history of commercial explosives, as wel as the characteristics and application of modern blasting agents. The advantages of modern blasting agents are pointed out when compared to powder commercial explosives.
